Job Summary

This role is responsible for overseeing legal aspects of healthcare contracts, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, and legal research. As a healthcare attorney, cross-functional collaboration with internal teams to negotiate, draft, and review contracts related to healthcare service providers, suppliers, and vendors will be part of the role.  Work closely with VP/Senior Counsel on final contracts.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of healthcare-related contracts, including but not limited to: physician agreements, non-disclosure agreements, clinical trial agreements, commercial agreements, vendor and supply agreements, clinical research agreements, and licensing agreements
  • Interpret complex legal language to ensure contracts are in compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations
  • Provide legal support and guidance for all departments within the organization, including finance, operations, and compliance
  • Provide training and education to other members of the organization on healthcare contract compliance
  • Co-manage disputes and litigation in conjunction with insurer and outside counsel
  • Develop and enhance contracting training, tools and workflows
  • Research and regulatory guidance for all areas of the company including clinical programs, patient care, pharmacy, and government programs
  • Mergers & Acquisition support, including diligence and document reviews
  • Ensure credentialing and licensing support is provided

Minimum Qualifications

  • Law degree from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in the state where the job is located
  • 2+ years of legal experience in healthcare law, with a focus on healthcare contracting and regulatory compliance
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including legal and business professionals
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Upholds confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of work

Working conditions

This job operates in a professional office environment and/or remotely.  This role routinely uses general office equipment.
