Job Summary

 

This role will help the organization make informed and data-driven decisions about its short and long-term direction, and to facilitate integrated budgeting, planning, analysis, and process management specifically for our pharmacy business and FQHC business partnerships.   This role will manage overall 340B financial programs within the AbsoluteCare network of pharmacies and FQHC partners. This role will work closely as a financial partner with senior leadership, act as liaison, and will be responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant and ongoing financial analysis, reporting and strategic insights for the pharmacy organization as part of the overall P/L reporting and FPA requirements for the business.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Manage financial operations for pharmacy services, including budgeting, forecasting, planning, and reporting.
  • Review and analyze pharmacy reimbursement, claims data, and purchasing (COGS), identifying risks and opportunities and developing mitigation strategies with financial and pharmacy teams.
  • Ensure compliance with 340B program regulations.
  • Develop financial models for FQHC partnerships, including proposals, pro-Formas, and contract renewals.
  • Prepare monthly P/L and financial statements for stakeholders.
  • Conduct pharmacy financial analysis to identify trends and opportunities. Develop monthly executive summaries of findings.
  • Collaborate with teams to align financial KPIs with organizational goals.
  • Present financial reports to senior management.
  • Ensure accurate billing, reimbursement, and revenue cycle management for internal pharmacies and external FQHC partners.
  • Stay updated on healthcare and pharmacy finance trends and best practices.
  • Maintain relationships with FQHC partners to address their needs.
  • Collaborate on projects and conduct check-ins to improve satisfaction.
  • Occasionally travel to meet with FQHC leaders.
  • Prepare standardized monthly reports.
  • Analyze partnership data regarding pharmacy and medical claims.
  • Support month-end close with reconciliations and process improvements.
  • Develop policies and procedures and cross-train team members.
  • Generate accurate, actionable reports for Finance and 340B.
  • Use the financial management reporting systems to upload and retrieve data.
  • Ensure accuracy and maintenance of financial models.
  • Complete ad-hoc projects and provide analytical support as needed.

 

Minimum Qualifications

 

  • A bachelor’s degree with a concentration in finance, accounting, or a comparable business field is required.
  • 3-5 years of experience in performing complex modeling using Excel.
  • Experience in pharmacy financial analysis and reporting within specialty, community outpatient, FHQC, or other pharmacy/clinic care delivery organizations.
  • Experience with the 340B program financial analysis, project management and reporting, including TPA relationship development and management, is essential.
  • 340B Apexus Certified expert is strongly preferred.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Effective customer service skills, as well as verbal and written communication abilities, are crucial.
  • Strong organizational skills, ability to work independently and attention to detail are required. Candidates must have the ability to meet deadlines and perform well under pressure.

 

Working conditions

 

This job requires the combination of remote work in a home office setting, professional office settings, and comprehensive care center environments. This role requires a dedicated, quiet workspace with the ability to adhere to HIPPA and other privacy policies.  A reliable and high-speed Wi-Fi connection or home internet is required to perform the essential functions of this role.
